Fundamentals of patenting and licensing for scientists and engineers

The book is over-advertised. I am satisfied with it, but the style is stilted.

Although information is valuable, book is very poorly written. Complex subject makes clarity and proper English usage essential for understanding, both of which are sorely lacking in this book.

IMO the book is true to it's title and purpose: going beyond how to writing a patent, and informing the reader/inventor on the decisions to make BEFORE patent application and what their real-world impact on the value patent protection provides when granted. Ma uses very clear and easy to read writing, the result of his extensive experience with the different aspects of the innovation, patent law, and facilitating the communication between inventors and lawyers.
