Blood Safari

Great read prior to my trip to South Africa for photographic safari.

Blood Safari is one of Deon Meyer's earlier works and its shows a little in his plotting and narrative which is a bit awkward in places compared to his later books. However, his skill at capturing South African settings (this time the bushveld rather than the big city buzz) is first class as is his ability to weave a compelling story from fragments of historical reality and current political tensions.
